Sandwich Economic Development Corporation

Letter from the Executive Director

Hello and thank you for visiting our website! These have certainly been challenging times for all of us, not only in the Sandwich Community, but in our state and nation. It continues to be my firm belief that together we can get through these tough times. The Sandwich Economic Development Corporation continues to press forward in our efforts to get the word out about our wonderful community.

Sandwich is certainly a great play to live, work and play!! We often take for granted what we already have here with the Historic Opera House, Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital, a quality school system in District #430, as well as the Sandwich Park District, library and so much more. The Sandwich Fair and fair grounds attract not only fair goers the week of Labor Day, but throughout the year with many events added each year. Our antique stores continue to bring many, many visitors to our community.

Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital continues to expand and the front is now the back. We are so proud to have Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital, part of the KishHealth System, as part of our community. They are indeed one of our cornerstones. The new library is just about ready to open and we cannot wait to get a look inside of the new South Main Street facility. The Sandwich Park District has added a Splash Pad and has continued to improve their programs and services to our community. We are encouraged that new businesses have opened in Sandwich during the last couple of years. We look forward to further growth in Sandwich in the coming years.

Our website talks about our goals and objectives, but the Sandwich Economic Development Corporation goes way beyond that it its commitment to the city of Sandwich and its citizens, business owners, organizations, etc. I along with my board are here to assist our city leaders in anyway we can to make Sandwich the best it can be!!!

Please feel free to contact me at anytime if I can assist you in anyway. Stop by the SEDC Office and say hello, emails are always welcome and phone calls appreciated. We certainly welcome your input on any matter concerning the development and growth in the Sandwich community. I am proud to be a small part of the Sandwich business community, together we can indeed make a difference!!
